Buhari’s Anti Corruption Policies Costing Entertainment industry Billions Of Naira – Davido

Trending African pop artist has revealed that the policies of the Buhari administrarion on corruption is causing huge losses in revenue to Nigerian pop stars from private concert billings.

Davido who was the cover feature of the global edition of Fader magazine told the publication that he is currently losing at least N107 million (based on current parallel market exchange rate) as a result of the Buharinomics.

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, MAN, has reiterated its plea to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to remove some items from the foreign exchange restriction list.

The appeal was reiterated by the president of the association, Mr. Frank Udemba during an interview in Abuja on Friday. He said that some essential raw materials for many manufacturers across major sectors in the country fall into the 41 items which has been restricted by the CBN.

The Benue state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has raised alarm over the plot by the All Progressive Congress ( APC) to manipulate the election results already won by it.

State chairman of the PDP Dr. Emmanuel Agbo said today that the APC has hijacked the results from the polling units in Ogbadibo local government area and have refused to hand over to the collation officers.

Former Borno governor Ali Modu- Sheriff who was of recent appointed People's Democratic Party Interim Chairman says neither himself nor any member of his family belong to or sponsor Boko Haram. His emergence as the new PDP chairman this week was heavily criticized by the PDP members and Chief Femi Fani-Kayode calling him the indisputable founder of Boko Haram.

See the 15-year old son of a King in Delta state who was killed in kidnappers den, is installed as the new King


A 15 year old son of Obi Akaeze Edward Ofulue III, the king of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria who was kidnapped and later killed last month by unknown kidnappers, has been installed as the new king. Obi (King), Chukwuka Noah Akaeze I, was  crowned as new king this week and presented to members of the Royal family before he was presented to the coun­cil of elders at the palace.

 The deceased king was abducted on Obior/ Igbodo Road, Delta State, on the 5th of January along with his driver. He was later found dead at Ekon in Edo state. He was 52 years old.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday declared a former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, wanted.

The anti-graft agency in an advertorial signed by its Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, said it declared Tompolo wanted following two bench warrants issued against him by a Federal High Court in Lagos, where he has been charged with N45.9bn fraud.

Over Non Payment Of Arrears Protest Rocks University Of Ibadan


Business and administrative activities were on Wednesday paralyzed at the University of Ibadan ( UI) as the non-teaching and senior staff unions of the institution protested shortfall in their salaries and unpaid arrears of allowances.

The workers include Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), Senior Staff Union of Universities (SSANU) and National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT).
